Mike Nelson and Joel Stern – a couple of cats from Quesnel.
Cariboo Thunder is a local country dance band that plays throughout the Cariboo area. The band is made up of Keith Beaudry on bass, Amy Robertson on fiddle, mandolin and vocals, Dennis Manuel on steel guitar and Ken Taylor on guitar and vocals. This band loves to entertain people and has fun doing so.
Dave Rubadeau (Acoustic guitar–bass-mandolin/vocals) and Mike Smith (Electric guitar/vocals) have been Deuce is Wild since 2011. They really enjoy performing and will often play sold-out dances for the entire four plus hours without a break. Deuce is Wild always strives to please their entire audience and loves to keep them dancing. Deuce is Wild also travels to perform at dances from Big White in Kelowna to Mackenzie, from Valemount to multiple annual performances in Smithers. Deuce is Wild can play most styles of music and has a repertoire of several hundred songs.
Collectively, this group has over 100 years of musical experience. Verle and Peter have performed in bands since they were teenagers. Now, as seniors, we meet every Thursday at the Enderby Legion ”Jam” (now running for over 12 years) and play music. We also play at various senior’s residents and fundraising in our community and neighboring communities. We love the opportunities to get together and share our music. Thanks for inviting us back again this year!!
This band has been entertaining thoughout B.C. for over 40 years.
Led by Roy Stump and his 3 sons Chad, Jason and Taylor, playing good old foot stomping country rock.
All from there great nation of Tsilhqot’in. They are looking forward to entertaining at this festival.
Long Rider is a local dance band playing classic/new country, southern rock, and rock & roll music from the 50s to the 2000s.
The band members have decades of experience among them and consist of lead guitarist/vocalist Garth Laferdy , bass player/vocalist Greg Hoare – who were both featured in a recent CKPG documentary (Northern Rhythms)on the history of the Prince George dance band scene. Terry Receveur is a versatile keyboardist who plays piano, organ, and digital accordion and joins in with the vocals, and last but not least drummer Denis Martin ties it all together with his lively rhythms. Their music is upbeat and infectious and guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a bounce in your dance step.
Moose Horn Mountain Boys” include Roger Kyncl, lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Larry Aspen on lead guitar and vocals as well as Kevin Lazeski on bass. They started together in 2010 playing in coffee houses and at dances in the Southbank, Burns Lake areas. Roger originated in Alberta and now runs Moose Home Lodge with his wife Bev.
Larry has been playing guitar since 5 yrs and also plays banjo and Pedal Steel. Kevin, playing since the age of 13 also plays acoustic guitar.
Helen Martinot – Came from Manitoba and been playing for over 30 years. Played with many talented musicians and enjoyed every minute of it with good fiddle tunes and singing harmony and lead with good country tunes in the North Coast.
Andy Goulet – I am Metis and enjoy playing old time Fiddle and country backup. I grew up listening to Don Messier and Graham Towsend. I played with many bands throughout BC. I have won many Fiddle contests in BC. I have performed at Batache, Saskatchewan. I was born and was raised in Quesnel, but currently play music out of the North Coast.
Glen Edward – Born on the East Coast, listened and played folk, country and rock music. Moved to the Westcoast 43 years ago and played and sang traditional, folk and country up till now.
“Rewind” are three musicians, each with many years under their belt claiming to be a star: John Heroux, Marlene Bernier and Gordon Dorish. The three of us want to “rewind” the music we have played for years, we hope you enjoy listening and dancing to our songs.
The band consists of JJ & DJ the Johnson Brothers. Both have been involved in music from early age. Jim forming a band at 12.
Jim has played with Marge Osbourne on tour and his brother in the 80s. He also has had several other bands. He plays guitar, is lead vocal and is a songwriter. Jim has produced several CDs ‘Ragged Man’ his finest.
Doug plays bass guitar, vocals and is a songwriter, has produced his own CD ‘Making Memories’.
We-4 are a band of friends who have played together over the years. Verna and Ed Downey are a couple who love all types of music.Verna plays the mandolin and Ed plays guitar. John Rogers is a talented singer-songwriter, he is also a guitar and banjo player. Always a lot of fun and an awesome chainsaw carver. Stewart White is the newest guitar player to our gang. Stewart is also an amazing singer and songwriter. They are very active in the music scene here in Prince George, providing music and song for every age to enjoy. We-4 are looking forward to playing for you all in Quesnel!
